The Marble Hill Ice House Seat is a carefully reconstructed replacement for a long-lost timber structure that once formed part of the 18th-century designed landscape at Marble Hill House in Twickenham, London.
As part of English Heritage’s “Marble Hill Revived” project, the gardens have been carefully restored to their original layout, bringing historic features back to life. Drawing on extensive historic research by English Heritage, the Ice House Seat was designed to reflect the elegance and character of the original 18th-century feature. The new Ice House Seat was constructed in our East Sussex workshop before being craned into position on site, reinstating an important piece of the historic landscape.
